Hey there, I’m Mel. I’m a librarian-turned-SEO Specialist.

My SEO journey started when I made my first book blog on free WordPress what seems like a crazy amount of years ago. I learned all about how to write for the internet, how to connect with other bloggers and relevant vendors, and, of course, SEO. My love of books and technology convinced me to get my MLIS (Master of Library & Information Science) and become a librarian.

While I chose to change careers, being a librarian did cement my interest in marketing and working with customers. I’ve been able to take my skills in promoting library services, research, and performing community outreach to my marketing career.

As an SEO specialist, I have a unique perspective on why people search for what they do and what the emotions behind the search are. I don’t just plug in keywords; I understand who’s on the other side of the screen on a deeper level.

My research skills also make it easy for me to learn new industries, which is something I absolutely love to do. No matter what industry I’m doing SEO for, I’ll probably make it my entire personality.

Basically, my professional life has always been about bridging technology, research, and customer and community needs.

Outside of work, I’m still a big reader and love to give book recommendations to everyone I know. I also journal a lot, read tarot cards, and love taking courses on topics I’m interested in.
